I found these great videos from an awesome photo journalist Alice Smeets. I had to share them with you. Alice Smeets was born in the German speaking part of Belgium in 1987. Fascinated about documentary photography, she learned her skills by assisting the Magnum photographer Philip Jones Griffiths and received a distinction for her MA (Photojournalism at LCC). She is focused on photographing social and cultural issues, at present concentrating on Haiti and modern Witchcraft in Europe and the US. Alice has won the Unicef Photo of the year 2008 and the Canon Profifoto Foerderpreis 01/08, she was finalist for the Inge Morath Award 08 and selected for the Eddie Adams Workshop XXI. She was given a grant of the Belgian Fondation de la Vocation in 2009. She is founder and president of the foundation “Viv Timoun” with projects in Haiti and Benin. Infos at www.vivtimoun.org.
